We are very pleased to be able to welcome you back to Umtamvuna River Lodge after a very long lockdown.

Whilst everyone has different opinions regarding the pandemic, we as a family have to take the risk seriously due to the compromised health of 2 of our 3 children. We will be running the Bed & Breakfast as a family with the help of a couple of our trusted and loved staff members who have been with us for many years.

So over the forthcoming months we will be running the B&B a little differently then before and will also be welcoming people from a wide variety places. This means accommodation establishments can be a higher risk area so we will do everything in our power to keep both your families and ours safe.

We ask all visitors to ensure you follow the 2m social distancing guidelines and are mindful of us, our staff and our other guests during your stay. Failure to follow the Covid guidelines could result in closure of Umtamvuna River Lodge effecting the wellbeing of our staff, our guests, our well-being and that of our family. This eventuality is something we need to avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately our kitchen, inside lounge and reception area will remain closed until further notice.

A continental breakfast as well as tea & coffee supplies will be placed in your rooms before you check-in.

All rooms have a mini fridge, a few beverages will be available and charged to your room account should you choose to have any.

Our dining deck is set up for your comfort, enjoyment and safety. The large tables allow for good social distancing at both the table as well as the space allowance between each table.

Our 8 ground floor rooms open directly out onto our gardens and each room has its own exclusive access. We have added small dining tables into the guest rooms and for now, you can enjoy your light breakfast either in your room, on your private balcony of your room or in our lovely big garden space.
