Management & Staff of the Umtamvuna River Lodge

welcome you to our Lodge of Leisure

Nestled at the foot of a mountain, in the heart of the nature reserve and on the banks of the Umtamvuna River... you will discover a lodge of leisure. With its sub-tropical gardens, soothing sounds of water falling from the edge of the cliffs and the majestic call of the Fish Eagle you find yourself lost in an unhurried tranquility that soon dispels the tensions and stress of every day life.
The pool terrace and cocktail bar, on stilts along side the river, compliment the rustic ambience of the Lodge.  The Lodge offers accommodation in 8 comfortable air conditioned/heated en-suite Double, Twin or Single rooms with Flat screen LCD TVs, open source satellite tv and private balconies as well as a honeymoon suite which provide the opportunity to relax at sundown with views of the river and surrounding mountains.
The gardens and private river beach make for a perfect playground and place to explore for children as well as for Wilber, our Vietnamese pot-bellied pig.

There are many activities that both the Lodge and surrounding attractions have to offer.
Rest assured Umtamvuna will be the starting point for beautiful memories that linger long after everyone has departed..
